About Us

Don was born and raised in Hopewell, VA when at the age of eighteen; he received Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior at an old fashioned camp meeting. He began his musical career playing trumpet in school bands and continued for another six years while serving our Country in the United States Army Band. Over the years, Don has managed and sang with several successful quartets. In 2003, God called Don and Rhonda to organize “Sober Ministries, Inc.”, and serve in full-time ministry. His down-home ability to communicate with people, yet share Christ, is foreshadowed only by his sensitivity to the movement of The Holy Spirit.

Rhonda was born and raised in a small country burg called Beach, VA. She began her young musical career playing the accordion in church where she gave her heart to Jesus. By age fourteen, she was the church organist. Now, an award winning accomplished musician playing several instruments, appearing in “The Singing News Magazine”, writer and publisher, she considers it an honor to use her talents for The Lord!

Don’s ability to “harmonize with a bull-frog” and Rhonda’s smooth alto voice compliment their unique style.

Most important, their recordings and appearances are worthless unless Jesus Christ is given all the Glory, Honor and Praise. Lord, we thank you for all you are doing and for allowing us to be Your servants!!
